W.S. Cumby provide preconstruction and construction management services for the comprehensive renovation and redesign of Penn Wynn House, a 17-story apartment building in Wynnefield, Philadelphia. The project received historic tax credits due to its architectural significance as one of West Philadelphia’s only remaining mid-century apartment buildings and recognition on the National Register of Historic Places.

The project included a complete restoration of the building’s historic exterior, including masonry repair and new windows. The interior underwent selective demolition and renovation into 231 luxury apartments. New electrical and mechanical systems were installed throughout the building. Amenities include a gym, dog park, social lounge, pool, and a 4,000 SF rooftop deck with uninterrupted views of the Philadelphia skyline. The property is ideally located directly adjacent to a regional rail line, providing access to Center City Philadelphia in only ten minutes.
