W.S. Cumby was tasked with protecting the safety and quality of life of the students residing in the active Dana and Hallowell dormitories while an addition was being constructed between them. This needed to be accomplished while minimizing site disturbance and also protecting the surrounding sensitive ecological areas. A logistics plan was implemented which included installing a temporary road to divert campus traffic and isolate the construction zone from campus.

In order to maintain the historic appearance of the club and not disturb its members, W.S. Cumby worked with the club to develop creative solutions for the tight site that addressed the need for contractor parking, construction deliveries, and material layout without compromising the club’s appearance.
