A Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or equivalent is desired with proficiency in Procore, P6 Scheduling and Office.

The ideal candidate must have superior organizational, communication (both written and verbal) and decision-making skills, be organized, detail-oriented and driven to succeed. A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred, and at least 5 years of commercial construction experience. Experience with Procore, Office and Bluebeam a plus.

Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager

W.S. Cumby is seeking a self-starting, deadline-driven and detail-oriented individual who will work in collaboration with the Project Manager, Superintendent and other operations team members on assigned projects. The candidate should embody the company’s core values of Integrity, Partnership and Commitment.

Function:

This position requires the ability to expedite project schedules, material procurement, submittals, and shop drawings. The Assistant Project Manager must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as having strong technical, computer, communication and client management skills.

Responsibilities:

Expedite, review for compliance and track status of submittals and shop drawings
Initiate, prepare, review, track and distribute RFIs
Update construction schedule based on procurement status, material fabrication and delivery, project team input and Trade Contractor progress
Change management systems, including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change orders
Maintain construction drawing documents and log

Qualifications:

· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture

· Minimum 3 years prior commercial construction experience

· Strong organizational, technical and time management skills

Technical Skills:

· CAD, Procore, Oracle P6, Office, Bluebeam, Revit and Navisworks a plus

Estimating Coordinator

Estimating Coordinator

W.S. Cumby is seeking a self-starting, deadline-driven and detail-oriented individual who will work in collaboration with The Estimating Team on assigned projects. The candidate should embody the company’s core values of Integrity, Partnership and Commitment.

Function:
The Estimating Coordinator is responsible to perform administrative and clerical duties providing support to the Project Team(s). Performs routine tasks as assigned by the Chief Estimator. Performs special tasks as directed by other Project Team members. Takes initiative to provide support and perform this role in a manner to achieve specific project goals and the department goals. All tasks are expected to be performed with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
• Prequalify and maintain database of over 4,000 subcontractors.
• Document management and distribution for all bidding and CM projects.
• Maintain estimating calendar for department.
• Create and distribute all RFQ’s and subcontractor invitations to bid.
• Track and log all subcontractor bids.
• Obtain information and pricing on all proprietary material listed in the specifications.
• Compile and submit RFI’s to Architects and/or Owner Representatives.
• Submit all Insurance and Contract requirements for review and coverage verification.
• Obtain bid bonds, insurance certificates, and permit fee information as required by owner.
• Help ensure and maintain adequate subcontractor trade coverage for bid and CM proposals.
• Maintain and track all pre-construction documentation and clarifications for submission.
• Prepare and compile all required documents for bid and budget reviews.
• Submit formal bids and proposals to project owners.
• Prepare Owner Contract Exhibits for contract execution.
• Schedule and coordinate scope review meetings.
• Maintain all SBE/MBE/WBE & Subcontractor bid solicitations and tracking as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Technology, Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of three years estimating experience including negotiated, hard bid and construction management
• Strong organizational, technical, and time-management skills

Technical Skills:
• The qualified individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Pipeline, and PlanGrid.
