This renovation and expansion of the Upper/Middle School and Lower School Dining Hall was undertaken to accommodate the growing enrollment at Episcopal Academy, a PreK – 12 independent school in Newtown Square, PA.

W.S. Cumby was selected as construction manager for this project due to their extensive experience working within occupied academic facilities and active campuses as well as for their renovation and addition work within educational institutions.

The 10,000 SF renovation and 2,500 SF addition include a 100-seat expansion of the dining hall as well as the construction of 2 new serveries with interior renovations. The Dining Hall additions bring abundant natural light deep into the dining spaces and the main addition can be divided from the remainder of the space to serve as a private dining room. A terraced patio provides an inviting entryway and a partially-shaded outdoor patio.
