W.S. Cumby provided Preconstruction and Construction Management services for the renovation and addition at New Life Presbyterian Church in Glenside, PA. The Church wanted to create more communal space for the congregation to gather pre and post services, while creating greater ADA accessibility by adding an elevator and more ADA compliant bathrooms. The Sanctuary of the church underwent a comprehensive renovation. This included removing the old ceiling and opening up the sanctuary ceiling and a complete upgrade of the Sanctuary’s AV systems to allow for more dynamic audio and visual presentations during services.

The daycare on the first floor saw new HVAC systems in three of their classrooms, while two of the classrooms received new bathrooms. The entire building received an extensive electrical upgrade and a new entrance addition was constructed. The Church and daycare remained in-use throughout the renovation and construction process, with daily communication between the Church’s Facilities Manager and the Day Care Director playing in integral role in the success of this project.
