W.S. Cumby completed a 15,600 SF expansion and renovation for the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association The Watershed Center building includes new classrooms, laboratories, offices, an interactive exhibition gallery, educational spaces and a gift shop. It serves as a teaching tool in demonstrating sustainable building practices to reduce energy and water use as it is anticipated to generate more than 85 percent of renewable energy from on-site resources.

The Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association, one of the oldest environmental groups in the country, works to protect waterways and other natural resources through conservation, advocacy, science and education.
