This transformative renovation project involved the adaptive re-use of the former school gymnasium to create a new 300-seat dining hall with servery, commercial kitchen and fitness center.

A new upper level mezzanine lounge area was added, overlooking the dining area, including soft seating, game tables and a fireplace.

The rear wall was opened up to add four sets of two-story windows to bring in natural light and provide views of the sports fields and campus greenery.

The project took place in the center of an active campus, with students utilizing the hallways and outdoor areas surrounding the gymnasium. Special attention was paid to site safety and project logistics, to minimize interruption to students and staff.
