W.S. Cumby provided Preconstruction and Construction Management services for Phase 1 of the Aronimink Golf Club’s Master Plan for renovation and new construction. Phase 1 of the 21,019 SF project involved renovations to the existing Clubhouse including the lobby and reception area, “Hall of Champions,” reconfiguration of the existing dining areas, the construction of a new wine room and bar area and new equipment in the existing mechanical and electrical spaces.

A new, state-of-the-art Golf Learning Center will be constructed in space currently occupied by the driving ranges, which will be reconfigured to accommodate the new center. The center will include a covered and heated practice area for use in winter, golf simulators for both teaching and members use, and a new putting surface for practice, lessons and recreation. The project is divided into 3 sub-phases that will be completed in a rolling schedule, in order to limit interruptions to member and staff activities. Club facilities will remain occupied and in-use during construction.
