W.S. Cumby was selected to construct three connected residence halls at Swarthmore College to complete the Palmer, Pittinger and Roberts dormitory complex. PPR Apartments has 21 apartment-style residential suites which include a total of 128 beds with associated common and support spaces. Each apartment unit contains single bedrooms with a living, dining and kitchen area and a bathroom with an enclosed shower room. The shared spaces include student lounges, a printing room, laundry room, a trash, recycling and compost room and bicycle storage areas.
The new residence hall is the first to incorporate the new Swarthmore College Environmental Sustainability Framework. The Framework provides standards for new construction and major renovations of existing buildings on campus.
