W.S. Cumby completed a multi-phase renovation project at Saunders House, a senior living facility in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. The scope of work for the 71,000 SF 4-story facility consisted of the renovation and remodeling of 120 resident rooms, nurse’s stations, game room and common areas, the main dining room and reception area. On the exterior, the existing covered walkway was demolished to make room for a new and inviting Porte Cochere with stone veneer column bases, cedar beadboard soffit and standing seam roof.
W.S. Cumby Project Manager Brett Heisey, LEED AP BD+C, commented, “It was a pleasure working with Saunders House and Meyer Design on this project. The W.S. Cumby project team came up with an innovative and efficient solution for phasing the resident room renovations when working in an occupied facility. The residents now have updated living spaces with modern amenities and a welcoming entry and drop-off area.”
