Construction Update: Sesame Place

W.S. Cumby has partnered with Sesame Place to perform several renovations throughout the park in preparation for the opening in late April. The most exciting new development at Sesame Place is the construction of Oscar’s Wacky Taxi, a new rollercoaster attraction slated to open in late spring.

W.S. Cumby provided construction management services for the site surrounding the Gravity Group-designed children’s coaster. W.S. Cumby supervised the attraction’s underground infrastructure; utilities including new electrical, water and irrigation; stormwater management; a new building for the attraction’s photobooth; electrical and maintenance outbuildings; access ramps and stairs to the coaster; and new exposed aggregate and bituminous paving throughout the site. Lighting and audio-visual equipment were also installed on the coaster.
