Construction Update: New People Acting to Help Facility in Philadelphia

W.S. Cumby is currently serving as Construction Manager and in the final stages of building a new facility for the non-profit organization PATH, People Acting to Help. Since 1973 PATH has been serving the local community and now provides care to over 4,000 individuals annually in its Behavioral Health Programs, which include both Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment, as well as programs addressing Intellectual Disabilities.

The scope of the project includes an adaptive re-use of the 4 story, 40,000 SF Historic Firstrust Bank Building, located at Cottman and Castor Aves in Northeast Philadelphia. The façade of the existing structure has been completely restored to preserve its historic heritage. A new 20,000 SF addition to the existing building and a new 4 story 20,000 SF building adjacent to the existing structure will provide much needed additional space for PATH’s expanding community services.

W.S. Cumby has provided both pre-construction and construction management at-risk services to PATH and has been working in collaboration with Bloomfield & Associates Architects and D3 Developers since the project’s inception. We look forward to completing this project in late Spring of 2021 so that PATH can open the doors of this wonderful facility and continue in their mission to “help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life.”
