W.S. Cumby completed construction of the Pitman United Methodist Church after the 120-year-old original was destroyed by fire. The new 40,000 SF church includes a new sanctuary, chapel, library and media center, classrooms, offices and multi-purpose social hall. The original design was approximately 10% over budget and W.S. Cumby worked with the Owner and Architect to develop creative Value Engineering ideas that enabled the church to build without sacrificing its program. The building was completed in phases to accommodate the Owner’s need to use the offices and save their ongoing rental expenses.
